This is going to be one of those games that the Saints will look back on and rue that they let one slip away. Actually, it was the Tatnall goalie that made the difference in this game especially in the first quarter. Uncharacteristically, the Saints were firing on all cylinders offensively early on in this game taking 20 first quarter shots (there have been entire games when the Saints have not shot twenty times) ! However, several great saves and innumerable missed opportunities found the Middletowners tied at the end of the 1st quarter, 3 – 3. This was disappointing only in that there was potential for a more lopsided score. This barrage seemed to wake up Tatnall as they went to work in the second quarter with their star, Joey Fragomele, scoring his second goal of the day and assisting on two others. This left the Saints limping into the cool of their locker room on a 90 degree day down 8 – 4. In the second half, the Saints refused to quit and they were able to climb back into the game getting within 9 -7 but then several breakdowns led to the last six Tatnall goals all being unassisted! Wesley had a great second half scoring twice and assisting on another. Freshman Martin Millspaugh and senior Taylor White were able to hook up three times with the freshman scoring five total while White ended with five assists on the day. Russell Train had nine groundballs and led all Saints with Alex Flynn scooping up eight of his own as he dominated the face-off circle winning 22/28!
