The young St. Andrew's team got their first win of the season, 10-6, against a surprisingly tough Dover squad. The Dover goalie was very strong in the cage as SAS peppered him with shots for the whole game.

Dover was winning at halftime by a score of 3-1, but SAS roared back to score 9 goals in the second half and played their best quarter of lacrosse in the 4th quarter. SAS was much improved in their control of the ball on the offensive end, even holding the ball in the box for the last 2 minutes of the game flawlessly.

SAS had a wide group of scorers with Bucky Pierce getting 3 goals, Luke Walter and Jaivon Wesley getting 2 apiece. Other scorers were Taylor White (who also had his best game of the year feeding the ball with 4 assists) and Max Dynerman (all of these stats are by memory until I get the final stats).

The defense also played a much better game and improved on their clearing. Ben McDonald was aggressive and all over the field and Ford Van Fossan played well also. Dan Dittmar was also stalwart in the goal with Will McIntosh making an appearance as goalie and keeping Dover off the board with a key save while Dan was serving a penalty.

Overall, a good team win and good preparation for arch rival Tower Hill on Tuesday on the new turf field at THS.

Congratulations Saints!
