St. Andrew's lost for the second time this season to Cape Henlopen by the score of 11-5. Cape, a perennial power in Delaware, had their hands full through the first quarter with SAS netting 4 goals. Jordy Gowen started things off with the first goal of his SAS career. Bucky Pierce had his second goal of the season on a nice feed from Tyler Willse. Jaivon Wesley had a nice dodge and goal and took a big hit immediately after scoring, Finally, Senior Luke Walter, playing while severely under the weather, scored his first goal on a beautiful dodge and shot from behind the cage.

Dan Dittmar had a strong first half in the cage, but SAS was again victimized by their inability to clear the ball successfully and consistently being beaten on ground balls by Cape. As evidenced in the Worcester game, SAS is having a very hard time keeping possession in their offensive end, which puts a lot of pressure on their defense. Cape ended up with a 7-4 lead at halftime.

Cape came out strong in the second half, with the only tally for SAS coming on a nice outside shot by Luke Walter. The close defense of Ben McDonald, Ford Van Fossan, and Will McIntosh did a good job on their attackman, but again SAS was continually victimized by their turnovers and inability to clear the ball effectively.

SAS knows that they could have won this game and is very determined to take their first win of the season tomorrow at 1:30pm in Dover.
