St. Andrew's opened their 2008 season on the road against a tough, Maryland team, Worcester Prep. Although the final score was 12-4, the game seemed a lot closer than that.

At the end of the 1st quarter, WP led SAS by a 2-1 score with SAS getting their goal on a put back by Taylor White after a full field romp and shot by Sophomore defenseman Ben McDonald.

WP led at halftime by a score of 7-2, with SAS scoring a goal with 2 seconds left in the half by Senior attackman Max Dynerman on a feed by Sophomore Bucky Pierce.

SAS played a very solid 3rd quarter which finished with SAS behind 8-4. SAS was led with an unassisted goal from Senior Captian Phil Valliant and a laser shot goal on extra man by Bucky Pierce.

The fourth quarter belonged to WP as the SAS defense wore down with the ball being controlled almost exclusively by WP.

Senior Dan Dittmar stood tall in the goal with 10 saves and kept the team in the game.

SAS looks forward to their battle with Cape Henlopen on Friday and with Dover on Saturday.
